Hey guys! Sigh, sorry for the lack of posts lately, I would say I've been quite busy (which I have been) but lately I have also felt really unmotivated and have just felt lost. My brain exploding with all these thoughts about the present, the future and emotional instabilities I've had to deal with lately.
Ugh anyway, enough with the sadness, I just thought it'll be good to give an explanation for my short absence on this blog haha.

ANYWAY, on a happier note, these are some photos I've taken (or the ones with me in it were taken by Fiona) during October and November annnnd I HAVE ALSO COMPILED A MIXTAPE! Music has been a saviour for me recently and have been indulging in Lorde's Pure Heroine album, Kodaline's In A Perfect World album, Smallpools' self-titled EP and so much more! Though on this mixtape is what I would listen to on my happy summery days so yeah take a listen!

Updates on my life so far:
1. My sister is getting married on the 23rd of November and I am so damn excited! I am gonna be the flower girl (which also means I need to go dress shopping ASAP)

2. I have a new obsession of watching game walkthroughs. I have watched the walkthroughs of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and The Last Of Us! Ugh such amazing graphics and whatnot! I could go on forever but anyway.

3. My new favourite movie is Stuck In Love. Like actually it is just so amazing and relatable and I JUST REALLY LOVE IT. Also Lily Collins AND Logan Lerman star in it and they are some of my favourite people. You guys should check out the movie and tell me what you think!

I hope you all are well and I'll hopefully be back onto regular posting with an outfit post next week!

Have a great week,

MAY FAVOURITES 2013

I think this scarf is the reason I am not freezing to death! It keeps me so warmth and it's really long and of course easy to match with things! My cousin gave it to me because she didn't want it anymore so lucky for that to be!

Minimalistic in a good way and great sound, what more could you ask from a pair of headphones? I love these so much. These are also handy in keeping my ears warm when out and about. They are just so great and reasonably priced for an average pair of headphones, check it out here.

I found this during my Bathurst school camp and it was such a great find! I don't usually use moisturisers because I am honestly not bothered, but since the weather is getting colder and my skin is getting unbelievably dry after showers, I apply it all the time. And the smell draws me to nostalgia because honeysuckles grew on this wall at this primary school I went to during K-4 and I actually loved them so much! I am glad that ASOS stocks it in bigger quantities so if I run out I can buy more, yes!

photos from google images

These are some new albums I have found and/or listened to during May! Lenka and Meiko are pretty much the same style of music (listen to one song and you'll know the style, I suck at explaining) and Gabrielle Aplin is just plain amazing and I love her voice and she's basically just Indie Pop, I think. (I talked about this album in my previous post). Anyway, they're all pretty much worth the listen!

Well, that's the end of this month's favourites (well pretty much will be my favourites all throughout autumn and winter) and I may do more of these?
Anyway, I hope you all have a great week and keep smiling!
Ciao for now,
- S x

UPDATE + MARCH PLAYLIST

Sorry guys for the lack of posts! I have been ultra busy trying to balance out all the school work I have and everything! Arrrrgh, year 9 is hard for now. I hope to post an outfit post soon but I haven't been seeing my sister after school very often lately because I have had a lot of things I've had to do after school these days and stuff, so yeah! I apologize for lack of posts, but I made this mix just for you guys!
Well, it's my playlist at the moment and doesn't really go by any theme but I hope you may discover some new music by it :)

Anyway, to update you on what I've done apart from school work is:
1. I bought a new ASOS beanie!
2. I am heading off to my school camp tomorrow at Bathurst
3. I have been spending my 'me' time watching Mistfits (I love Robert Sheehan ahhh he's so funny)
4. Looking and admiring (but not buying) majority of the things I see online HAHA

Oooh, and here's an exclusive pic of me in my new beanie I posted on my Instagram

Anyway, please be well and keep smiling!
I'll be on camp for the next few days but I'll maybe do a photo diary when I get back and an outfit post should be on it's way,

Ciao for now,

ABOUT ME TAG

Hey guys! To celebrate me getting TEEN VOGUE READER LOOK OF THE DAY (yes, I am very excited for this honour and oh my gosh, the late night spaz session I had when I found out via Maria that I won was very hectic.) I have done the about me tag!
Anyway, let's get started!

1. Do you have a middle name?
No, sadly I don't have a middle name :(

2. What is your favorite subject in school?
Hm, it'll probably either be Visual Arts, English or Design & Tech (though I didn't enjoy this as much as I would've liked because of my teacher)

3. Whats your favorite drink?
Oooh! I have quite a few,
  • Lipton Virgin Mojito
  • Greentime Aloe Vera
  • Pink Grapefruit flavoured soda
  • Lemon Lime Bitters
  • Mango Smoothies
  • Chrysanthemum tea
and there's probably more because I absolutely love drinks but that's all I can think of right now!

4. What is your Favorite song at the moment?
The Last Time by Taylor Swift (ft. Gary Lightbody) and Tongue Tied by Grouplove

5. What would you name your kids?
I used to love the name Ophelia and I actually still do, but it sounds way too formal so I'm not sure if I would name my daughter that. Though I also really like the names Brynn, Leigh and Perrie for some reason. If I had a boy then I'd probably name him Jace (ha ha I think it's a really hot name though it may not be a good idea naming your kid after a character from your favourite book series), Connor or Christian.

6. Do you participate in any sports?
Not really, unless you count shopping? Jokes. I like playing soccer and cricket though I don't play them in my free time.

7. Favorite Book?
Deadset the Mortal Instruments series and the Infernal Devices series both by Cassandra Clare. No doubt. But I also loved the series Airhead by Meg Cabot.

8. Favorite Color?
As cliche as this sounds, I really like ocean blue. And I like ultramarine violet too.

9. Favorite Animal?
I love Italian Greyhounds.

10. Favorite Perfume?
Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez (self-titled) fragrance and Green Tea Cherry Blossom by Elizabeth Arden. I generally like sweet scents.

11. Favorite Holiday?
I love going back to Xi'an in China (where my relatives live) because I love living a different lifestyle and they have the best food there. It's really nice getting away from Australia and going overseas yet not temporarily being a tourist.
oooops I thought this meant favourite holiday destination, anyway, my favourite holiday is definitely the summer holidays because it's super long and there's enough time to do everything I want!

12. Have you graduated high school?
No I haven't! Though due to my height some people assume I have which is really weird.

13. Have you ever been out of the country? if so how many times?
Yes I have! I have been a couple of times, maybe 5?

14. Do you speak any other language?
I should be able to speak Chinese, but I'm not very good at all. I can speak a tiny bit of French as well. Oh, and English of course.

15. How many siblings do you have?
I have 2 sisters!

16. What is your favorite store?
Lincraft, Priceline and Valleygirl!

17. Favorite restaurant?
Kura Pyrmont which is this cute Japanese restaurant up the road from my house.

18. Do you like school?
Not really but it depends; I find it really hard to concentrate so I usually sit in classes totally bored out of my mind. Not good.

19. Favorite youtuber?
communitychannel, theellenshow or clothesencounters

20. Favorite movie?
Bridesmaids, Monte Carlo and UP

21. Favorite TV show?
Gossip Girl, Adventure Time, Spongebob and Puberty Blues

22. PC or Mac?
Appearance-wise probably Mac but PC because I'm used to it.

23. What kind of phone do you have?
A really glitchy Samsung Galaxy Gio, lol.

24. How tall are you?
I am about 168cm tall!

OKAY! Well, that's it! I hope you enjoyed reading all of this!
And before I end this post I just wanted to say how awesome Yen Magazine is. It's probably even beating my love for Frankie because it incorporates more photography and fashion. The magazine is in the picture I took for this post. So if you're really wanting a new magazine to read, go check it out!

Anyway, ciao for now!

DIY WRAPPING

Hey guys! As we all know, Christmas is so close! I have found a couple of wrapping related DIYs you might like to have a look at (and possibly make!) so you can get creative for the presents you send out this year!

1. How to wrap using cloth

This is such a great way to give presents! As soon as I saw this post on Facebook, I immediately thought I should share it with you guys. It's a good way to dig out your old bandanas and give that vintage touch to your presents!

2. How to sew a gift bag

This is a nice tutorial if you see some really nice festive fabric that you are dying to use for something christmas-y! Click here to go to the tutorial or the image above :)

3. 40 Free Christmas Printables

Here are some really artsy printables that are great for Christmas parties and gift tags! Click here for the link or on the image above.

Anyway, that's all I have! I hope everyone is well and I'll post soon when I have the time to make an outfit post!

NEWEST POSSESSIONS

Recently I've been browsing the shops on the weekend and I got yet another birthday gift from my friend, so here are my newest possessions (hence the title).

A really good friend of mine got me this frankie diary that I was really wanting for next year, for my birthday! She spent so much effort to buy it online for me, and I am so grateful :)
I love it to pieces, the design inside is just perfect, filled with tonnes of water-colour doodles and all, and very frankie-like (obviously); I really recommend it if you're looking for a pretty diary to use in 2013 that has pretty designs to enlighten your day!
It's such a perfect size too, like it's not too big and it's not so small that you can't write much in it; and who doesn't love hardcovers?

On Sunday, I went browsing shops with my friend Nicole (we basically always go out on Sundays because we go to church together) and as I remembered the buy 1 get 1 free deal they're having at Priceline for Rimmel London products, I knew we had to go!
I really wanted to buy a sort of natural colour rather than the bizarre red lipstick I just love wearing, so I bought this 'Guest List' colour because it really suited me. Nicole bought a really nice sparkly coral one (forgot the name) that perfectly suited her, and so we could get such a great offer.

I have a real big obsession for lipstick and I just love wearing it when I feel like dressing up a bit or it's a special occasion, it just makes me feel better, in a way!

These are my two favourites at the moment, the one I just purchased and also the bizarre red lipstick I mentioned before (and that I have worn in my outfit posts), even though they are drugstore lipsticks, I really like Rimmel London because they have a really nice range of colours to suit different skintones, and they are really affordable! Honestly, I cannot really tell the difference between MAC and any other lipstick, but Rimmel is enough for me.

This is a polaroid I took of a herb/flower stand up the road from my house on Saturday. When I saw it I knew I had to take a polaroid of it, so I literally just went back home and came back just to take it; but I reckon it turned out really well.

Aaand here's a random gif of me being a total nutter (great way to show myself to strangers on the internet), and no, I do not do this in my spare time normally HAHA.

Anyway, I hope everyone has had a really good start to the week (though it's Monday) and I hope you have been smiling and having fun!

Ciao for now,
- S x

P.S I can't wait till tomorrow to buy the physical copy of RED (Taylor Swift's new album) from JB Hi-Fi! I personally just dislike buying whole albums on iTunes, I like having the lyric booklet in print.

Okay, I tend to ramble on, sorry, but if you want a good song to listen to, I really recommend 'Everything Has Changed' from the album! Ed Sheeran is featuring in it, and it is an amazing song. Here's the link, you won't regret it.
