DIY BUNNY WIRE HEADBAND

Hello everyone!

I have finally gotten around to making my DIY that I have been planning! Okay, I know it's not the best, but hey at least I tried :) I've spent all afternoon + night filming and editing this so I hope you enjoy.

100% CASUAL

This is what I wear when I have no ideas to mix n' match my other wardrobe pieces; I like it because it's chic but also satisfying if I'm totally blank! I adore the mesh cutout surrounding the collar of my top, it's just such an out-of-the-box idea but it just works so well! 

I am currently changing my blog layout and I know it looks a bit all over the place right now but Blogger is being a real pain in the arse by not displaying changes I've made on the Template Designer! I searched it up and apparently this problem happens to everyone and it's just a fault, I really hope they fix it soon or else my perfectionist self will kick in and cringe everytime I go on my blog.

Anyway, I am saving up for an iPhone (and I'm almost there!) so when I get it I will hope to post a vlog about the start of my holidays! Even if no one watches it. But whatever.

DIY WRAPPING

Hey guys! As we all know, Christmas is so close! I have found a couple of wrapping related DIYs you might like to have a look at (and possibly make!) so you can get creative for the presents you send out this year!

This is such a great way to give presents! As soon as I saw this post on Facebook, I immediately thought I should share it with you guys. It's a good way to dig out your old bandanas and give that vintage touch to your presents!

GOOD MORNING

Oh wow, this is such a rare occasion where I don't post for 1 month! School has been so hectic at the moment with assignments all clashing; but I mean it's crazy because it's almost the end of our school year and our reports are written but our teachers are just annoying!
I have also spent this time away from my blog reading City of Glass (by Cassandra Clare) AGAIN and Paper Towns (by John Green) while getting lost in my own imagination. So, that is the reason for my absence though holidays are just right around the corner and there are lots of posts lined up!

Anyway, this was just a quick shoot I did with my sister about 15 minutes ago (involving her getting up an hour earlier) so it lasted about 5 minutes with my sister asking 'Is this okay yet?' after about 3 photos, so these are really simple shots of me that are unedited too.
I've never really been a fan of gingham because of the common use of white in the pattern, but when I saw this I just fell in love with it; especially with the baggy chiffon feel and the frills in the middle, it gives me a sort of classic punky feel. In fact, it's pretty rare that I do like something that my mum brings home from a family friend and I count this as a good find.
+ bought the skirt off romwe and I have been wearing it (too much) with every top I own.

NEWTOWN FESTIVAL + NINA'S

Today I went to the Newtown Festival with my dear friend Nina! It was so mega fun and we had such an awesome day of dying in the sun, wandering through the many stalls at the festival, looking at the amazing things on King Street + licking our Max Brenners plate clean, chilling at Nina's house and having Vietnamese food for dinner! What a day.

This is how many people there were at about 12 and this is how many people there were at about 2...

How crazy is that?! Imagine losing someone in that crowd. 

Pictures of some of the picture-worthy things at the stalls! There was some amazing stuff, but I didn't buy anything because there wasn't anything I particularly liked so much that I needed to buy, so yeah. 

There were free Iced Tea samples at the festival! It was the Virgin Cocktail range and I really liked the Mojito one, anyway, this was Nina's favourite part because there was a free photo booth at the stall! I look like a total idiot in the last one because I was staring at something on the floor and then the photo was taken... Oops. And even though Nina was laughing at me in the last one she still looked gorgeous!

So after about 3 hours of browsing (I don't even know why we took that long!) we decided to browse stores on King Street and eat at Max Brenners, it was so delicious we literally licked the plate clean and we looked totally uncivilised! Oh well, at least we enjoyed it. 

Our day continued further by going to Nina's house! Here are some pictures of her room because it is so pretty, she has motivated me to start organising my stuff.

And then heart bokeh of her fairy lights because I was showing her how it's done :) 

Well, those are basically some of the photos from our day, and now I am so exhausted, but I had such an enchanting time!

CITY

Hello once again, yes I know, two posts in one day but whatever! I promised Anna I'd make a post on our lovely day and here it is.
So, me and Anna went to the city after school today and we (well, I) decided that it'll be a good idea to change into some casual clothes because our uniform is brown and yeah just already sounds unattractive, but indeed it is a very unattractive uniform. We had loads of fun wandering around the city looking at pretty clothing and eating MOOCHI (frozen yoghurt) and I bought 2 things!

I bought a pair of $5 earrings (from EQUIP, the place where I buy almost all my earrings from because there are really amazing things in their sale stock) and some false lashes because I just felt I needed some to add to my make-up stash.

Anyway, as I said in my previous post you'll be meeting Anna, so here are the selfies we took near MYER...

How gorgeous is her smile! Well, I really should be doing some homework because I've been editing photos all night so ciao for now!

AS BLUE AS THE SEA

Hey guys! I've had such a splendid post-exam time making a skirt! A few of my friends have mentioned me posting a tutorial for how I made it, but unfortunately I didn't make it straight from my own brain (too amateur for that HAHA), I used fashiononymous' video tutorial to guide me; though I really do have some DIY projects that are up on my list that I will construct for you guys, and hopefully someone will watch/read them!

Today I went shopping with my beautiful friend Anna after school and this is what I wore (minus the hat)! I am actually in love with floppy hats because they suit almost every occasion. They can give you a summery look and is absolutely great to wear to the beach, they can give you a sophisticated look if paired with black maxi skirt/dress or it could just be worn casually on a sunny day with shorts and a top or something. Floppy hats are just great, and thanks to my other beautiful friend Tina for buying it for me for my birthday! Haha.

Anyway, I am actually just in love with the velvet skirt I made because navy is an amazing colour and because I made this all by myself and things always feel better when you make them yourself, don't you think? I think this skirt has gotten me in the mood to make more clothes :)

NEVER LET ME GO (HALLOWEEN THEMED)

Happy (post) Halloween! Unfortunately I didn't go trick-or-treating this year (or maybe that's a good thing so I can't get tempted by sugary lollies :P) though I really wanted to go! Oh well. Anyway, I was actually planning to do a casual look today but it somehow lead me to getting inspiration to look like some ghost/vampire and dancing around with 22 (by Taylor Swift) pumping loud. Trust me, dancing around looking like you've died 150 years ago is actually really fun, in my opinion that is.

I don't actually know who I am, though I thought I look liked some teenage girl that died from murder and was creeping back for revenge, but now I'm not too sure, opinions? 

My school is actually celebrating the spookiness next Thursday by holding a civi day (free dress day with a theme + gold coin donation to raise money for charity) and of course the theme is Halloween but I am going to dress up as a shadowhunter (a type of race from my favourite series' The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices) with my friend because we are obsessive fans like that.

+ my exams are over! Hooray! Now I can just sit back and rest before I need to stress over how bad my exam marks were.

NEWEST POSSESSIONS

Recently I've been browsing the shops on the weekend and I got yet another birthday gift from my friend, so here are my newest possessions (hence the title).

A really good friend of mine got me this frankie diary that I was really wanting for next year, for my birthday! She spent so much effort to buy it online for me, and I am so grateful :) 

I love it to pieces, the design inside is just perfect, filled with tonnes of water-colour doodles and all, and very frankie-like (obviously); I really recommend it if you're looking for a pretty diary to use in 2013 that has pretty designs to enlighten your day! 

It's such a perfect size too, like it's not too big and it's not so small that you can't write much in it; and who doesn't love hardcovers? 

On Sunday, I went browsing shops with my friend Nicole (we basically always go out on Sundays because we go to church together) and as I remembered the buy 1 get 1 free deal they're having at Priceline for Rimmel London products, I knew we had to go! 

I really wanted to buy a sort of natural colour rather than the bizarre red lipstick I just love wearing, so I bought this 'Guest List' colour because it really suited me. Nicole bought a really nice sparkly coral one (forgot the name) that perfectly suited her, and so we could get such a great offer. 

 I have a real big obsession for lipstick and I just love wearing it when I feel like dressing up a bit or it's a special occasion, it just makes me feel better, in a way!

These are my two favourites at the moment, the one I just purchased and also the bizarre red lipstick I mentioned before (and that I have worn in my outfit posts), even though they are drugstore lipsticks, I really like Rimmel London because they have a really nice range of colours to suit different skintones, and they are really affordable! Honestly, I cannot really tell the difference between MAC and any other lipstick, but Rimmel is enough for me. 

This is a polaroid I took of a herb/flower stand up the road from my house on Saturday. When I saw it I knew I had to take a polaroid of it, so I literally just went back home and came back just to take it; but I reckon it turned out really well. 

Aaand here's a random gif of me being a total nutter (great way to show myself to strangers on the internet), and no, I do not do this in my spare time normally HAHA. 

Anyway, I hope everyone has had a really good start to the week (though it's Monday) and I hope you have been smiling and having fun!

P.S I can't wait till tomorrow to buy the physical copy of RED (Taylor Swift's new album) from JB Hi-Fi! I personally just dislike buying whole albums on iTunes, I like having the lyric booklet in print. 

Okay, I tend to ramble on, sorry, but if you want a good song to listen to, I really recommend 'Everything Has Changed' from the album! Ed Sheeran is featuring in it, and it is an amazing song. Here's the link, you won't regret it.
